Enter the Progress Book Web Access Area

Teachers at Madeira High School and Madeira Middle School are using a Web-Based program called Progress Book. This program helps keep track of assignments, tests, quizzes, attendance (see codes below) and performs other planning functions. One of the main reasons we have selected Progress Book is that it gives parents and students a way to view this information from your own computer system using a web browser. All information is carefully password protected over a secure web connection. Students have one password and parents have another.

How to use Progress Book:

  1. Use your web browser to connect to our web site (www.madeiracityschools.org) and select your child's school. There will be a link on that page for Progress Book. You may also go directly to the Progress Book page at https://pbaccess.hccanet.org. Feel free to bookmark or make this page one of your "favorite" web pages.
  2. Log in using your private username and password.
  3. Update your contact information. Change the first and last name from your child's name to your own name. Please provide your email address – if you forget your username or password, one will be sent to your email. Be sure to click on the Save button when you are finished typing.
  4. You may change your password to something easier for you to remember. You will need to type your current password and then the new one a couple times. Be sure to click on the Save button when you are finished typing.
  5. You may change your login name to something easier to remember. Follow the directions and be sure to click on the Save button when you are finished typing.
  6. If you have login information for more than one child, you may link them together to make things easier for you. Click on the "Link Additional Children to this Account" and type the login name and password for each child and then click "Link".
  7. For security purposes, remember to click "Logout" when finished and quit the web browser you are using.

E Absent All Day
EA Absent in Morning
EP Absent in Afternoon
T Tardy to School
V Doctor Appointment, Approved Vacation, Funeral Visit, Doctor Approved Absence, etc.
