The Fray's History

The Fray is a piano rock band from Denver, Colorado and is a part of Epic Records. The band's lead singer, Isaac Slade, and guitarist, Joe King, were classmates and met up one day in a music store and decided to form a band. The Fray consists of two other very talented musicians, Ben Wysocki the drummer, and Dave Welsh playing the guitar. The Fray's Isaac Slade and Joe King write all of the songs on the albums. Many of the songs are inspired by things that have happened in their lives. "How to Save A Life" was inspired by a kid Slade mentored, and"Over My Head" was written about a rift between singer Isaac Slade and his brother, Caleb. Caleb Slade and a few others were former band members. The Fray is a unique group and sound that has had many musical influences, such as Counting Crows.
