James May

James Daniel May was born on 16 January 1963. Before Top Gear, May wrote for The engineer and Autocar magazine. May first co-presented Top Gear in 2003, where he earned the nickname "Captain Slow" because of his careful driving style. But he has driven the Bugatti Veyron at its top speed of 253 mph and the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport at 260 mph. He became one of the first people with co-presenter Jeremy Clarkson and an artic support crew to travel by car to the magnetic North Pole.
