Yellowstone National Park

Yellowstone is the largest active geyser field Prismatic Hot Springin the world and is home of the most famous geyser, Old Faithful. There are also hundreds of colorful hot springs and pools such as the grand Prismatic Hot Spring. In our day of technology, I have seen many pictures of the colorful hot springs. It would be truly amazing to see one in person.

Yellowstone is also home to more wild animals than almost anywhere is the U.S. Visitors are likely to see a number of animals in Yellowstone freely roaming the landscape in their natural habitat. You might see grizzly bears, grey wolves, the world’s biggest bison heard, bald and golden eagles, and moose.

You can take a paddling trip on the Yellowstone Lake near lakeside geysers or raft down one of the nearby rivers. One of the best ways to experience the region is by spending a night or more under the stars. You can stay at one of the many campsites inside the park, at a nearby campground outside the park, or camp in the backcountry.
