High School

Before basketball, Jimmy Butler used to play football, like everyone else in Texas.  But he says that when he realized he could play inside with air conditioning, he made the switch to basketball in middle school. It’s difficult to find much data on his high school career due to his lack of fame during that time of his life. However, his senior year, Butler averaged 19.9 points and 8.7 rebounds per game and was named to the all-district first team. He was a dominant player, but not exactly the well known outside of Tomball.
