Junior Year

Butler’s junior year was when he really began to make strides to becoming a key part of the team. Head Coach Buzz Williams said that out of anyone he’s ever coached, he worked Butler the hardest because he knew how great he could be. Butler saw significant increases in all of his stats his junior year, averaging 14.7 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 2.0 while playing a whopping 34.3 minutes per game. Marquette however had only a semi successful year and lost in the opening round of the NCAA tournament.
