The Summer

At the end of the season, Butler decided that he hadn’t been good enough. He blamed himself for his team’s early playoff exit. The Bulls needed offense and he couldn’t deliver. So that summer, he decided to do something about it. After the season was over, Butler and his friends rented out an unfurnished house with no cable or internet. He said he wanted no distractions, and no reasons to take a break. When he got bored, he played basketball.  Butler’s schedule consisted of lifting, running, skills work, and more from 7 am – 8 p.m. The only breaks he gave himself were for naps and meals.  As most of the NBA would find out that season, it made quite a difference.
