Training Equipment

Training equipment varies from necessities to complex. Many swimmers wear caps, which are made of silicone or latex. They also will wear goggles to keep water out. EquipmentFinally, every swimmer wears a suit of some kind. Some also wear a second suit over that to increase drag. This is beneficial at meets because without a drag suit, they feel much faster.
There is also equipment specific to training. These include kickboards, pull buoys, fins, paddles, and snorkels. These all force the swimmer to focus on a certain part of their stroke and improve it. Some coaches incorporate other equipment such as buckets, weight belts, shoes, and rubber cords to increase resistance. These can be used, like a drag suit, to feel faster at meets.
