Bob Marley

Bob Marley was born on February 6, 1945 in Jamaica. In 1963, Bob Marley and a couple of his friends started creating music under the same of Wailing Wailers. It wasn’t until nine years later that they became popular. In 1972 they signed a contract with Island Records. Over his entire career he sold more than 20 million records. Unfortunately his career was stopped short when he died from a malignant melanoma on May 11, 1981 in Miami Florida. His legend of becoming the first international superstar to emerge from a third-world county lives on though.
