When multiple people expressed interest in founding a local lacrosse team, there were many steps taken to get the club to where it is now. The person in charge of everything off the field was John Kolkmeyer Jr. He was the one who hired the coaches, organized schedules, and was the one who recruited new members to play. Coach Kolkmeyer wasn’t the only person who helped—the players who started playing in the summer helped convince people to come out and try lacrosse for the first time. Those efforts helped form the Madeira Lacrosse Club.
