Like any baseball franchise, ownership can play a large role in how a team develops. In the last few years the Red Sox have been owned by John William Henry II. In years past though, the ownership of the Boston team has greatly changed the team. In 1919 Harry Frazee traded Babe Ruth, the greatest baseball player ever, to the New York Yankees for $100,000. Frazee did this because he needed more money to produce a play he wrote, while Ruth went on to lead the Yankees to a plethora of championship titles.
