One of the most recognisable ways to make and store energy is with a battery. Batteries work on the basic principle that when power is put into a conductor and is unable to be moved collects and is “stored”.

A generator takes some sort of physical energy and turns it into power. One of the ways to make a generator is with the power of water. The most basic way to make power from water is either to boil it and make its steam turn a wheel (such as a steam generator), or by having it flow past a wheel (such as with the power of a “dam”). Another way to make power with physical energy is through the combustion of gas or oil (such as the motor in your car).

Within the world there is tens of thousands of ways to make or use energy.
