People have many expectations for their children. They think they will be better than the rest, and push their children to live up to their ideal image.
If the expectations are realistic, then kids will be inspired to do well and please the people who have given them so much.
But if the parents are unrealistic of their child's talents, it has the opposite effect. Unrealistic expectations only cause a child to become disheartened and have negative results.
But parents who have these misonceptions do not understand that they are causing their childs badresults, and only punish their children further. This leads to a nasty cycle that ends in ruined relationships.
I encourage parents to understand how their child learns and how well they learn to have realistic expectations of their child.
